About our Pricing:
The huts are owned and managed by Truckee Donner Land Trust a 501(c)3 Nonprofit conservation organization. Pricing is set to break even, attend to repairs and care for the land while covering our overhead – not as a revenue generating venture. These huts are part of a $15 million conservation campaign funded by local, state and federal agencies as well as many, many private donors. Booked as a group at full occupancy of a hut, per-person, per-night costs range from $65 to $130.
Cancellations
We cannot guarantee the weather, snow or stability of the snow pack; therefore there is no refund due to weather conditions, poor snow conditions, lack of snow, too much snow or avalanche hazard.
We understand that your plans may have to change. If you cancel within 30 days of your arrival date, all payments are forfeited (including due to sickness or emergency). If you cancel with more than 30 days notice, you are entitled to a 80% refund on your rental fees. You can change your reservation up to 30 days ahead of your visit at no charge assuming alternate dates are available. There are no refunds for early departures. There are no credits or re-sale of reservations.
Lost, Damaged Items
Truckee Donner Land Trust and its hutmasters are not responsible for loss, damages or claims to property of guests due to fire, theft, accident or any other cause. The management also reserves the right to refuse service to anyone. Fireworks or discharging firearms are prohibited.
Clean Up & Leave No Trace
Guests are expected to clean-up after themselves, do their dishes and clean and sweep and straighten out their hut before departing. We practice Leave No Trace. You’ll need to pack out your own trash and food stuffs.
