The Board and Staff of the Truckee Donner Land Trust would like to express their gratitude and excitement for the California Wildlife Conservation Board’s decision to award Truckee Springs $2 million!

“The Wildlife Conservation Board has been a critical partner for the Truckee Donner Land Trust on numerous projects, and we are truly thankful for their ongoing support,” said John Svahn, Co-Executive Director of the Land Trust.

The funding brings the Land Trust to within striking distance of the needed $10 million to purchase Truckee Springs and open it to the public, joining other public agencies including the California Natural Resources Agency, Town of Truckee and Truckee Tahoe Airport District.

The Land Trust is counting on private donations to cross the finish line, with the generous help of matching donors doubling every gift from now until the property is successfully preserved.
