CAMPGROUND COUNTDOWN

After scorching temperatures in Truckee, the road to Webber Lake is now snow-free and drivable. The Land Trust is gratified to see so many outdoor enthusiasts checking out Webber Lake.

Because the snow gods delivered a late start to our construction season, our crack campground construction team is pedal to the metal clearing downed trees and debris, grading sites, installing bear-proof lockers, assembling picnic tables and many other tasks to ready the campground for your enjoyment. When you visit, please bear with the hustle and bustle that comes with ensuring that the campground is ready to go when it opens August 1. (And keep your canine companion on leash for safety.)

Even with all this activity, Webber Lake remains a great place to visit for fishing, hiking, and picnicking. Significant progress happens every day, including stocking of Lahontan Cutthroat trout from the Department of Fish & Wildlife on June 20!  We are excited to share Webber Lake and Lacey Meadows with the thousands of Land Trust supporters who played a pivotal role in ensuring that this once private paradise is a resource for all of us to enjoy.
