February is Matching Gift Month: Double Your Impact Today!

Together, we've achieved remarkable things, from protecting pristine wilderness to providing access for all to enjoy the outdoor marvels we cherish in the Sierra.

Today, I'm asking you to ask you to show your love for the Truckee Donner Land Trust in a way that could double or even triple your impact.

If you made a gift to the Land Trust in 2024 (or recently), I have some exciting news. Many employers offer matching gift programs, meaning they will match your donation to the Land Trust, doubling or tripling the value of your gift!

This incredible opportunity means that your generosity could go even further in protecting our treasured landscapes.

The Land Trust has a tool that helps you find out if your employer will match your gift to the Truckee Donner Land Trust. It's easy to do in three simple steps:

1) Check if your employer matches donations – Use our matching gift search tool here.

2) If your employer participates, complete a matching gift request through their system by following the instructions our tool provides. If you made a gift in 2024, you may have a deadline coming up soon for submitting a matching gift request!

3) Watch your impact grow! Every matched dollar shows your love for the Land Trust and helps protect more open space for you, your friends, and family to enjoy.

And remember, there are many ways to give. Many of our supporters find value in giving stock, granting from Donor Advised Funds, or making a Qualified Charitable Distribution, which can be more “tax-smart” than giving cash.

Your contribution ensures the Land Trust can continue its vital work, from conservation projects to forestry health programs, all aimed at preserving the land for generations to come.

Thank you for your support,

P.S. Please remember to check our matching gift tool and follow the instructions to amplify your impact. Your recent gift can go further and do more for the land you love!
