Please plan to visit Lower Carpenter Valley this summer!

Although the Land Trust is on track to close the transaction and acquire the valley next month, access to Lower Carpenter Valley is available only via docent-led hikes during the summer of 2017 while we implement improvements such as trails, rest rooms, picnic area, and parking. There are 24 opportunities on the schedule and space is filling up for the dates around the upcoming Independence Day holiday weekend.

Children and adults alike are invited on this accessible hike. During your visit, expect to travel five miles on a level fire road. Docents will provide information about the history and natural features of the Valley. Now is the perfect time to visit for the wildflowers!

Important note: No dogs are allowed in the Carpenter Valley Preserve under the terms of the Conservation Easement. Your canine companion is welcome at any other Land Trust property.
