Giving Tuesday - one week from today - unofficially kicks off end-of-year giving for the Truckee Donner Land Trust, a critical period where, with your help, we can ensure we start 2021 off strong. Your generous gifts to the general fund allow us to tackle projects years in the making and jump on unexpected opportunities that inevitably come out of the blue.

A piece of land we’ve been patiently waiting for for years, or even decades, may suddenly become available, and your end-of-year gift will allow us to quickly put a down payment on the property, taking it off the market and giving us time to raise the additional needed funds to permanently protect it and open it to the public to enjoy.

A big winter may crush trail bridges on one of our trails - as it did a couple winters back - and your end of year gift means our stewardship crew can jump on repairs as snow melts so you can get out and enjoy without delay.

Your donation may make the difference in getting new trail built, forests managed for habitat and wildfire resiliency, or any number of projects that will help both protect our cherished wild places and give you, your friends and your family access to them to explore.

So whether you give on Giving Tuesday or at any point before the new year, we deeply appreciate your support and thank you for being a part of the Truckee Donner Land Trust, we couldn’t do it without you.
