TRUCKEE DONNER LAND TRUST'S SENSE OF URGENCY

Along with record snowfall, a beautiful summer, and huge achievements for the Land Trust at Carpenter Valley, Webber Lake, and Van Norden Meadow, 2017 delivered a booming economy at the national, state-wide, and local levels. That economic good news has spurred acquisition opportunities for the Land Trust as the local market for estate development heats to a boiling point.

It’s our job to protect and preserve land of scenic, historic, and recreational value in this precious corner of the world, and 2018 is shaping up to be a critical year.

Once land is developed into housing, estates, or commercial activities, it’s no longer available for public access. Now, more than ever, the Land Trust needs your support to protect against rural sprawl in the greater Truckee area. Please help us keep our eyes and ears open for the next acquisition with a donation to kick off 2018. Or consider leaving a legacy of land preservation in the Truckee Donner area.
