MONTHLY GIVING

Many people find it easier to make a smaller contribution each month, thereby increasing their total support without financial difficulty. By providing reliable funding and helping with our planning, monthly givers help us protect more land. We can charge your credit card in an amount you specify each month.

GIFTS OF STOCK

Gifts of long-term appreciated stock and mutual fund shares are an easy way to make a lasting contribution. Benefits include: income tax saving, capital gain tax savings, and provide crucial support to the Land Trust.

IRA DISBURSEMENT

The IRS requires those over the age of 70 1/2 start taking distributions from a standard IRA or 401K - many choose to make those disbursements a charitble contribution for tax purposes - and the Land Trust appreciates those donations.

Give tribute with an “in memory of” or “in honor of” friends or loved ones in recognition of special occasions such as birthdays, holidays, weddings, anniversaries, and graduations. We will happily and swiftly mail an acknowledgement to those you are honoring or their family.

TWICE THE IMPACT WITH MATCHING GIFTS

DONNER LAKE RIM TRAIL, ADOPT-A-QUARTER-MILE

Consider a $1,000 contribution to adopt a quarter mile along the Rim Trail. This is great way to memorialize your family’s enjoyment of trails. Donors will be recognized on a plaque at one of the trailhead informational kiosks. This is a great way to create a legacy that will benefit the entire community.

The Truckee Donner Land Trust has numerous unique opportunities to memorialize friends and family in a truly special place. Ranging from benches and picnic tables to bridges, trails and viewpoints, the Land Trust naming program honors the legacy of special people and families who share our passion for this precious corner of the world.
