Each year, the United States Forest Service recognizes individuals and organizations contributing to fisheries, hydrology, air, soils, and watershed resource management that improve our National Forests and Grasslands. In 2017, the Northern Sierra Partnership received this prestigious award in the partnership category.

Working across the Plumas, El Dorado, and Tahoe National Forests, the Northern Sierra Partnership (NSP) – The Nature Conservancy, The Trust for Public Land, Feather River Land Trust, and Sierra Business Council along with Truckee Donner Land Trust – has worked hard over its ten-year history to raise funds to conserve more than 25,000 acres in and adjacent to the National Forests.

The award was presented to NSP representatives in Washington DC November 15. Tahoe National Forest Supervisor Eli Ilano visited the Land Trust office in December to personally present the partnership award to the Land Trust team.

We are honored to receive this award and inspired to move forward in 2018 with even more conservation work in our area.
